This page contains details to help you find us.

The School of Engineering is located in the Fraser Noble Building, King's College, which is located in the historic Old Aberdeen area. The Electronics Research Group occupies the east side of the top floor of the west wing (N.B. two flights of stairs above the ground level).
Meteing are often arranged in the Seminar Room (Floor 1). To find this, enter the building ascend the main stairs and turn right (East!) along the corridoor and through the doors. Turn left in front of the School Office and you'll find the room at the end of coridoor.
(On the Tourist Information Map for Aberdeen, King's College is indicated by the yellow triangle number 22 at map reference H4.) It is about 20 minutes by taxi from Aberdeen airport at Dyce. (The airport roads are very busy in the morning and evening, and it is wise to allow double this for travel at this time). The campus is 1.5 miles from the city centre, there is a frequent bus service run by Grampian Transport. Further information about travel is available form the central web site.
Major direct continental destinations include Amsterdam (KLM), Copenhagen, Paris (Air France) and Stavanger. Airport Information is at: http://www.aberdeenairport.com/
Parking at the University is difficult and there are few spaces (spaces are sometimes also available in the nearby streets). Please not that the University enforces the use of parking permits. If you do not have a permit, or visitor pass then do not park in University areas - the penalty is a rather large sticker applied to your vehicle windscreen!

The Fraser Noble building is close to "The Hub" - the upper floor contains a variety of food ranging from Pizza, Mexican, Chinese, to more traditional canteen food. This opens at lunch time. The lower floor contains a coffee bar with cakes, real coffee and sandwiches - and a subway outlet. Sandwiches are also available on the nearby High Street bakers which is next door to a coffee bar / designer sandwich shop.

A large number of bed and breakfast houses are also available in the Aberdeen area (80 are listed in the current tourist information list). These are people's own homes, rather than hotels. Most will have only 2 or 3 rooms available which may be single, twin or double. They are generally very welcoming and good value for money. Most provide only a bedroom for the guest, although some may also have a guest lounge. A good breakfast is included, but only some provide an evening meal. A complete list can be provided by Aberdeen Tourist Information Centre (see below), who will also be glad to help you and may be able to book the accommodation for you.
Information about the city, and other places in Scotland, may be obtained from the Aberdeen Tourist Information Centre. The centre also keeps information about all hotels and guest houses in the area, and details of excursions to other tourist attractions. Contact info:
